Cookies Policy
1. Introduction
Nibbana, Inc. (“Nibbana”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) uses cookies to store and retrieve information on and from your browser when you visit our website (the “Site”). The purpose of this document (“Cookies Policy”) is to help you understand how we use cookies.
2. What are cookies and why do we use them?
2.1 Cookies are small data files placed on your computer, tablet, or mobile phone (“Device”) when you visit our Site. They can record information about your use of the Site, your Device, and, if you arrived from another website, which website that was.
2.2 Cookies are described as either “session” or “persistent”. Session cookies last only for the duration of your visit and are removed when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain on your Device after the browser closes, until they expire or you delete them.
2.3 This Cookies Policy also covers similar technologies that store information on your
Device. We use one non-cookies technology: a localStorage entry that records
your cookie choice, described in the first row in the table in Section 4 below.
3. What types of cookies do we use?
We use two categories of cookies, and no other:
(a) Strictly necessary. These are required for the Site to work and for us to keep it secure — for example, protecting the Nibbana contact form from automated abuse, and remembering your choice about analytics cookies. Strictly necessary cookies do not track your browsing across other websites and are not used for marketing. They cannot be switched off.
(b) Analytics. These help us understand how the Site is used — how many people visit, which pages they read, and from where they arrived — so we may improve our Site. We set these analytics cookies only if you accept them. If you decline, they are never placed on your Device.
We do not use functional, personalization, advertising, or targeting cookies. We do not use cookies for behavioral advertising, and we do not allow third parties to use cookies on the Site to build advertising profiles.
4. The cookies we set
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Category | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|---|
nibbana_consent | Nibbana (localStorage, not a cookie) | Remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics | Strictly necessary | 12 months, after which we ask again |
__cf_bm | Cloudflare | Distinguishes people from automated traffic when the contact form is used | Strictly necessary | 30 minutes |
cf_clearance | Cloudflare | Records that a bot-protection challenge was passed | Strictly necessary | Up to 1 year |
_ga | Google Analytics (first-party) | Distinguishes one visitor from another | Analytics — only with your consent | 13 months |
_ga_5VFQD0KH53 | Google Analytics (first-party) | Keeps track of the current visit | Analytics — only with your consent | 13 months |
Until you affirmatively accept analytics cookies, none of the analytics cookies listed above are placed on your Device. If you decline, the only information stored is the record of your refusal to accept analytics cookies.
5. Third party cookies
5.1 Two third parties place cookies through the Site.
Cloudflare provides domain name services, content delivery, and bot protection on the Nibbana contact form, and sets the strictly necessary cookies listed above.
Google provides analytics, and sets the analytics cookies listed above only after you accept them. Google describes its own use of cookies at policies.google.com/technologies/cookies.
5.2 We do not embed third-party content that sets its own cookies — no social media widgets, no embedded video, and no advertising tags. Our fonts are served from our own domain rather than a third party.
6. How can I manage or disable cookies?
6.1 You can accept or decline analytics cookies using the banner shown on your first visit. To change your mind at any time, use the button below. Declining takes effect immediately, but does not remove anything that you have already agreed to. To do that, you must clear your browser cookies. Your choice is retained for 12 months, and we will ask again after that, or sooner if we change our use of these cookies.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal and you have not made a choice on this site, we honor the signal: analytics cookies will not be set and the banner will not be shown. You may still opt in using the button above, and a choice you make here prevails over the signal.
6.2 Your browser settings also allow you to accept or reject cookies generally, and to delete cookies already stored. Note that if you change computers or browsers, you will need to set your preference again.
6.3 Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the Site from working, and, in particular, the Nibbana contact form.
